Suffolk County is promising to protect its Muslim community during Ramadan.

Police say will increase patrols outside Muslim places of worship, schools and businesses over the next month.

It comes weeks after an East Northport attorney was arrested for going on a tirade inside a Melvile mosque.

Community leaders say people of all faiths should feel comfortable when practicing their religion.
