Officials say a dog in Lake Ronkonkoma is safe after being rescued by Suffolk police.

According to officials, four officers from the Suffolk Special Patrol Bureau took part in the rescue.

Officials tell News 12 the officers saved the dog from water Sunday morning.

There is no word on how the dog ended up in the water, but it's uninjured.
