Suffolk police officers help woman deliver baby girl on the side of East Patchogue road

Police say Fifth Precinct officers Danielle Congedo and Daniel Rosado responded to a 911 call reporting that a woman was in labor in a vehicle in front of 166 Hospital Road.

Two Suffolk police officers were part of a special delivery in East Patchogue Wednesday morning.
Police say Fifth Precinct officers Danielle Congedo and Daniel Rosado responded to a 911 call reporting that a woman was in labor in a vehicle in front of 166 Hospital Road.
Officers arrived to find the woman in labor in the passenger seat and helped her deliver a baby girl.
The new mom says she and her daughter are in good condition and were transported to South Shore University Hospital.
