Suffolk police said a called-in bomb threat in Port Jefferson Harbor was unfounded Sunday afternoon.
They say officers responded to the scene just after 1:30 p.m. after village officials called police about the phoned-in threat.
They were joined by the Coast Guard and crews from the Town of Brookhaven and the Village of Port Jefferson.
Ferry operations were suspended until the response from authorities was completed.
