2 Bohemia residents charged with robbing bank, multiple businesses

As News 12 previously reported, authorities were searching for a male suspect who entered the business on Vanderbilt Motor Parkway and ran off with cash after handing the teller a note demanding money.

Two Bohemia residents accused of committing numerous robberies in Suffolk County were arrested on Thursday.

Police say 48-year-old Randy Hill and 45-year-old Donna Hovanec are charged with robbing a Chase Bank in Commack on Aug. 14.

As News 12 previously reported, authorities were searching for a male suspect who entered the business on Vanderbilt Motor Parkway and ran off with cash after handing the teller a note demanding money.

Police say the duo is also accused of robbing a Dollar Tree in East Patchogue on Aug. 16, a Dollar Tree in Medford on Aug. 22 and a Starbucks in Bohemia on Sept. 2.

They are facing an additional charge for the attempted robbery of the Sunoco Dix Hills Tire and Auto on Aug. 25, according to authorities.

Police say Hill is being held overnight and will be arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip. Hovanec will be arraigned at a later date.
