The Suffolk County Legislature votes Tuesday on whether to give the county executive the power to lay off county workers.
Hundreds of workers got a last-minute reprieve Monday night when the county's largest union agreed to millions of dollars in concessions and the lag payroll plan proposed by County Executive Steve Levy.
Several other unions have not agreed to concessions however, which means as many as 33 county workers could be laid off.
