Suffolk County officials announce early payoff H. Lee Dennison Building sale-leaseback

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced today that the county has paid off the sale-leaseback of the H. Lee Dennison Building ahead of schedule.
In 2012, Suffolk faced a more than $500 million deficit and a $200 million structural budget gap.
The county had to sell the building to the Suffolk Judicial Facilities Agency in 2013 and make rental payments to repay the bonds.
