Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone unveiled a new COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children in Hauppauge Tuesday.
Children ages 5 to 17 can get vaccinated at the H. Lee Dennison building.
Some school districts are getting involved in the effort to get more young people vaccinated.
Mt. Sinai South Nassau is planning to bring a VaxMobile to Baldwin, Freeport and Island Park school districts to administer COVID-19 vaccines.

Gov. Kathy Hochul recently called on school districts to help the vaccine campaign and said she has not ruled out a mandate for school-aged children.
Lindenhurst School District sent a letter to the governor asking her not to impose a requirement for children.
East Setauket mother Jessica Rudin has three children under the age of 5. She is leading an online petition against a possible COVID-19 vaccine mandate for children.
“I created it in hopes of gathering a group of people to show state officials that we as parents are united,” Rudin says. “We don’t want to vaccinate kids, it’s just too new.”
She has close to 23,000 signatures on the petition so far.
