Starting today, delis and restaurants in East Hampton Village will no longer be allowed to use styrofoam.
The move includes the use of styrofoam "to-go" containers, cups, coolers and trays.
The village hopes the ban on styrofoam products will encourage more environmentally friendly alternatives.
Residents and visitors can still have the products without being penalized.
