A group of students got the chance to learn about serving on the police force this weekend at the Nassau Police Academy.
The 28 students from Baldwin High School were learning about different aspects of law enforcement. It's part of the Police Youth Academy, which was started in 2007 to establish a positive relationship between police and students.
The students were also getting some police-style exercise. They were running through an obstacle course, which includes pushups, sit-ups, crawling and climbing over a 6-foot wall.
The participants were selected by their school for Saturday's program. It's the fifth year that Baldwin High has participated.
