Students from Minnesauke and Arrowhead elementary schools stuffed hundreds of bags of donated toys for needy kids.
Three Village Schools in East Setauket collected the donations over the past several weeks.
R.C. Murphy Junior High School and W.S. Mount Elementary School also participated in the event. Murphy was the school that coordinated the overall project.
Students say they're happy to help kids who aren't as fortunate.
The toys will go to Gerald Ryan Outreach Center in Wyandanch, which serves one of the largest populations of needy people on Long Island.
