More than 500 children from the William Floyd School District took part today in a project examining the Carmans River.
Today was the fifth year of students collecting scientific data during A Day in the Life of the Carmans River. 
The project is being monitored by the Office of Education of Brookhaven Lab, the Central Pine Barrens Joint Planning Council and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services.
