For the second week in a row, a Nassau restaurant landed on Gov. Andrew Cuomo's list of establishments that had their liquor licenses suspended due to violations of pandemic executive orders.
Cuomo announced that Mio Posto at 777 West Beech St. in Long Beach received an emergency order of summary suspension from the state Liquor Authority.
The suspension comes after Long Beach police visited the establishment on Aug. 8 due to noise complaints, Cuomo's office says.
Cuomo says upon arrival, police saw 20 people congregating outside, and 200 more inside, though the restaurant's occupancy is about 145. He says about half of those people were in a room without tables, not social distancing or wearing masks.
Long Beach police say they had previously issued warnings to the premises on two separate occasions in late July.
According to a news release, 148 establishments have received liquor license suspensions during the pandemic. Elliot's Restaurant and Bar in Freeport also was issued a suspension last week.
Fifteen other establishments were issued suspensions this week, with 13 in New York City, one in Oneida County and one in Herkimer County.
