Protests continued to erupt across Long Island Saturday to demand equality and an end to police brutality.

Black Lives Matter protesters took a knee and said a prayer before they marched through Roosevelt.

Pastor Arthur Mackey Jr. of the Mount Sinai Baptist Church helped organize the rally. He and dozens of other people came out to call for an end to racial injustice.

"How many black men have to be murdered," Mackey Jr. says. "How many black women have to be murdered by police."

The protesters walked nearly three miles to Merrick Road in Baldwin  where they ended the rally at the police precinct there.

Protesters say they will keep organizing Black Lives Matters rallies until they see a change.

"If we need to have a protest every week we'll have a protest every week to make sure that people don't forget that black lives are being murdered.

A separate rally took place as demonstrators marched down Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre earlier in the day.

Protesters there called for reform to police departments.

Police were on the scene at both protests to shut down roads for protesters to march safely.
