All four of the coronavirus patients in Nassau County are Town of Hempstead residents, County Executive Laura Curran confirmed.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced 22 total new cases in New York Friday, for a total of 44 so far. Many of which the cases are in the Hudson Valley.
The three new Nassau cases are all women, ages 36, 41 and 63. Of the three women, one is hospitalized and the other two are quarantined at home.
This comes after a 42-year-old Uniondale man who works at Mercy Medical Center was diagnosed Thursday.
Curran says the three new cases are people who are "close contacts" of the man who was diagnosed Thursday. Nassau Health Commissioner Lawrence Eisenstein says all four are located within the Town of Hempstead.
Curran added that among other tests that were performed, nine came back negative and eight were still pending.
