18ds agoHere’s what you need to know:
- A WINTER STORM WATCH is in effect at 7 p.m. Saturday through 11 a.m. Sunday. 2-4"of snow and a light glaze of ice will bring messy road conditions.
- It's cold, breezy and mostly sunny this morning. Temperatures are in the 30s.
- Today will be brighter, cold with gusty winds. Gusts up to 35mph will leave wind chills in the 30s.
- After today's break from the wet weather, another winter storm will move into our borough Saturday night into Sunday morning. Timing is likely after 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. on Sunday. This storm system will consist of more snow than ice which will stack totals higher than yesterday. The Bronx will likely see closer to 3-6" of snow with the northern edge of the borough getting closer to 6". Brooklyn will likely see 2-4" of snow with the northern edge of the borough getting closer to 2". Some icy mix will after midnight into early Sunday before ending as rain. Super Bowl Sunday will be drier and breezy during the afternoon. Stay tuned for updates.
- Monday will be cold and calm before our third storm arrives on Tuesday. This storm looks to be a stronger storm with mainly snow and no mixing. Another chance of a wintry mix and rain possible Thursday into Friday. There's still some uncertainty with the timing, totals and track. Stay tuned for changes.
