A coating of snow is expected before noon reducing visibility and causing slippery sidewalks and roads. A brief snow squall cannot be ruled out which suddenly reduces visibility and creates challenging conditions for drivers.

Monday temperatures are in the teens and single digits to start and only warm up to about 30-degrees despite mostly sunny skies.

Snow is expected Tuesday afternoon before turning into plain rain Tuesday evening and overnight.

The rest of the week is cloudy with daily rain chances. High temperatures are near or a few degrees above the average.

Warm weather is possible after this week with high temperatures approaching the upper 50s, perhaps even the mid to upper 60s away from the Hudson River and Long Island Sound - where water temperatures are colder than normal.
