A cold one is on tap tonight for the lower Hudson Valley, but at least the winds will be weaker. Expecting temperatures to fall near 30 degrees, winds will have a periodic gust of around 20 mph before becoming lighter by morning.
Prepare for a milder trend on Tuesday, which is the pick of the week! A south-western shift in our winds will bring temperatures into the mid-40s by the afternoon.
Clouds will increase in the evening, limiting any cooling, so nighttime temperatures will remain near 40 degrees.
On and off rain showers are expected through the day on Wednesday, as milder temperatures continue as well. Widespread rain is expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning ahead of a cold front moving in Thursday morning, which could result in rain mixing with snow around the morning commute.
As the system exits, be prepared for it to be colder into the weekend.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny to mostly cloudy. Highs: low 40s. Lows: mid to upper 30s.
WEDNESDAY: Mainly cloudy with a chance for rain showers in the second half of the day. Highs: mid-40s. Lows: mid 30s.
THURSDAY: Cloudy, windy, and there is a chance for rain showers to mix with snow in the morning and afternoon. Snow accumulations are not expected. Highs in the upper 30s. Lows in the teens.
