Storm creates traveling headaches for families trying to make it home for the holidays

Several flights were cancelled at LaGuardia, and many were delayed.

Traveling home for the holidays is taking longer than some New Yorkers had hoped due to the ongoing storm.
Ray Bryant was supposed to be on his way to Portland, Oregon but instead, he was stuck at LaGuardia Airport after his connecting flight in Denver was canceled.
"They can't control the weather, but it is a little frustrating," Bryant said. "It is a little stressful."
Bryant booked another flight for Friday and is hopeful it is not canceled.
Several flights were cancelled at LaGuardia, and many were delayed.
There were also delays at Islip's MacArthur Airport.
Kaytie Georgle and her family had their connecting flight canceled from Baltimore to Cincinnati. They may need to fly to Nashville instead.
"Our car is in Cincinnati, so we'll maybe rent a car to get home and then deal with the car later - I don't know," George said.
Despite the delays and cancellations, travelers say everything else is running smoothly.
Anyone traveling by plane should not underestimate how long it could take to get to the airport because the weather making the roads messy.
They are also urged to download their airline's app to get information about delays and/or cancellations.
