A Stony Brook University professor has received $2.2 million in funding for pivotal research on post-traumatic stress disorder.
Neuroscientist Prerana Shrestha’s research will investigate why individuals with PTSD have persistent, intrusive memories of their traumatic experience.
The four-year grant from the National Institute of Mental Health will fund her work through 2027.
