Dealing with the victims of terror attacks in the U.S. is now the focus of new training at Stony Brook University.
Stony Brook University Hospital is training school staffers and government officials how to treat gunshot wounds.
The training, which took place on Tuesday, included tips on how to apply a tourniquet.
The idea of the training is to prevent victims from bleeding to death like some victims of the Orlando nightclub shootings.
Stony Brook will train more schools next week and will hold a workshop at Suffolk's Dennision building.
