Trying to figure out what jobs you're qualified for can be stressful.

State officials say Connecticut will be able to help more residents with job training and placement, thanks to federal funding.

Today, state officials announced Connecticut is receiving nearly $24 million in federal funding as part of the American Rescue Plan Good Jobs Challenge.

The Stamford Partnership gives college students the skills they need to enter the workforce after graduating. It also helps people who've lost their jobs find new ones.

Now thanks to the grant money, the nonprofit says it'll be able to help another 1,000 residents with not just job training, but also job placement -- primarily in the tech field.

The greater Stamford area is set to receive $2 million. Once the grant money comes in, The Stamford Partnership says it'll determine what agencies it'll work with and ultimately which residents will take part in this new initiative.
