Loved ones are mourning a St. James man who was fatally struck in East Northport.
Pierino Liberta, 81, was hit when crossing Larkfield Road on Monday night, police say.
The crash happened near Larkfield Lanes, where the victim was a regular.
"He was a great guy. He helped everyone with bowling. Never bothered anyone. He was funny. Really a good guy,” says Tony Pennacchia, the bowling alley’s general manager.
The Babylon Bocce Club tells News 12 Liberta was also a regular bocce player.
Memorial services are set for Friday and Saturday in Commack.
