Spring Valley residents hold candlelight vigil in honor of slain 17-year-old high school athlete

The Spring Valley community held a candlelight vigil Saturday night for the 17-year-old Ramapo high school student who was fatally shot Friday.
Family and friends gathered in memory of Treynahel Tyvon Cineus, who they affectionately knew as Trey.
People who gathered at the event placed candles and balloons in remembrance of Cineus.
Police say Cineus was shot and killed around 2:30 a.m. Friday after leaving a party.
Cineus, a track and basketball athlete, was hoping to attend college in Florida.
Spring Valley police say they're trying to determine a motive for the shooting and the shooter remains at large.
Cineus' uncle told News 12 that funeral plans for the teen are still pending.
