A Spanish version of the Star-Spangled Banner has many Long Island lawmakers up in arms.
Congressman Peter King (R-Seaford) is co-sponsoring a non-binding House resolution for the national anthem and Pledge of Allegiance to be sung and spoken only in English. King says the anthem symbolizes many different immigrant groups coming together as one and that different language versions are an attempt to divide the country.
King is also sponsoring a bill to make English the nation?s official language.
