Southampton police say a man was arrested in connection to a machete attack that left a 24-year-old man in Riverside injured on Friday.
Detectives say officers responded to a 911 call and found the victim covered in blood with a gash on his head.
They say 35-year-old Adonias Estrada-Sinay attacked him and then barricaded himself inside a home on Pine Street.
Hostage negotiators were called to the scene around 3 p.m.
Estrada-Sinay was arrested after a search warrant was executed hours later just before midnight.
