Sources confirm to News 12 that a "swatting" incident occurred this morning at the home of the judge overseeing the civil trial of former President Donald Trump.
Police were called to the scene around 5:30 a.m. Sources say the Great Neck home belongs to Judge Arthur Engoron.
Swatting is a form of harassment that involves calling authorities and responders to trigger an emergency response at a location.
The report of an emergency situation was unfounded.
It is also not clear if anyone was arrested.
“The Nassau County Police Department continues to investigate this morning’s threat and takes seriously any threat made to an individual. The Police Department continues to work with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners on all aspects of this case,” said Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman.
Gov. Kathy Hochul addressed the incident in a post on social media
