A Sound Beach man turned himself in Tuesday after being indicted for allegedly leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Police say Tracy Mangino was walking down North Country Road in Miller Place in October when she was struck and killed by a truck driven by Christopher Campbell.
Prosecutors say there was extensive forensic evidence on his truck. They also say the truck was caught on video by neighbor Ron Guerrieri's security camera.
Mangino was only about 100 feet from her home when she was killed. Campbell lives a block away.
Campbell faces up to seven years, if convicted. He is free after posting $100,000 bond and is due back in court next month.
