FORECAST:
Temperatures are moving in the right direction for our Thursday. Still cooler than average, we could still see some spots touch 50° Then things change, late day shower and a chance for some snow showers up north through Litchfield County.
Some of those showers could linger into Friday morning making for a slippery messy commute.
Showers will come and go later today and again on Friday, becoming more widespread as we head into the weekend.
A larger area of low pressure will move through early Saturday, bringing steadier and heavier rain. Rainfall rates are expected to increase Friday evening and overnight, leading to a very soggy start to Saturday. Showers will likely linger through much of the day, with a chance that some rain could hold on into early Sunday before conditions gradually improve.
Temperatures will begin to climb on Sunday and into early next week, with a brief return of those milder 60-degree days.
NIGHT SKY:
The Full Pink Moon will rise on Saturday night. Due to the weather, we may not be able to see it. The full moon rises with the setting sun at night and sets with the rising sun the next morning. Pink is just the name given to it for the month of April, due to the blooming flowers. The moon will not look pink.
