Snow leads to confusion over status of Jones Beach vaccine site for Thursday

One person who had an appointment Thursday told News 12 says the hotline told them the site was closed and that they would get an alert to reschedule. They say when they called again later, they were told it was open.

Thursday's snow caused plenty of confusion about the status of the state-run COVID-19 vaccination site at Jones Beach.
The state said it was open and was all day, but if you called the state's own vaccination hotline, you got a different story. A person on the line told News 12 it closed just before 11 a.m.
But at the site, vehicles could be seen lined up around 5 p.m. And a statement from earlier in the day says that they were not letting the weather to slow down the state's efforts.
