Earlier in the day, police said 60 crashes in total involved physical injuries, and a third of those crashes were on Sunrise Highway. They say a majority of in the incidents happened earlier in the day.
Officials say the snow is making for dangerous road conditions, and drivers are urged to use caution. Plows started getting the upper hand on things as the snow calmed down into the evening hours, but driving was still a brutal task for commuters thanks to slush and ice.
