(11/08/06) WOODBURY - The sister of a pregnant Sayville High School graduate found her sibling brutally murdered in a North Carolina home last Friday.

Raleigh police say Michelle Fisher Young's 2-year-old daughter was in the home at the time of the attack, but was physically unharmed. According to police and a 911 recording made public Wednesday, Young's sister discovered the victim's lifeless body covered in blood. Police ordered the victim's husband, Jason Young, to go for fingerprinting. A Raleigh television station reports Jason Young has already hired a high-profile defense attorney.

Young's family is on its way to North Carolina to make funeral arrangements. A former classmate describes Young, a 1995 graduate, as a kind, down-to-earth person.
