Signal problems east of Jamaica caused delays and cancellations for Long Island Rail Road trains Tuesday night.
The LIRR warned of system-wide delays of 20 to 30 minutes due to the issue.
"I got off at Jamaica just 'cause we were like sardines," said Eric Ramos, an IT worker from Mineola. "I was starting to get uncomfortable. I just got off and waited for 20 to 25 minutes and finally got a seat. It is what it is."
The issues followed trouble Tuesday morning on the Long Beach branch -- and both hiccups came during what Gov. Andrew Cuomo warned would be a "summer of hell" for rail riders.
