Shots were fired in Morris Heights on Monday morning.

Police confirm it happened around 7:47 a.m. near Jerome and 176th streets.

There is no description of the person who fired the shots.

Police say the investigating is ongoing and six shell casings were recovered at the scene.

No one was injured.

Eyewitnesses say a gunman opened fire at wall, later pointed a gun at a man, but hesitated before running away.
