With Christmas just two days away, shoppers at the American Dream Mall were juggling last-minute errands while still finding moments of holiday cheer.

As crowds filled the mall, families moved between stores, Christmas decorations and visits with Santa Claus.

For some families, the holiday break from school offered time to focus on traditions rather than to-do lists.

“Decorating my Christmas tree and baking cookies,” said Lilly, who was off from school with her friend Kyliegh.

Others took advantage of the mall’s ice rink.

“It’s just so much fun, just having fun with friends and family, being outside and around places,” said Lucas, an ice skater.
