Dozens of child sex abuse survivors gathered outside the home of a Long Island politician Friday morning.
The group New Yorkers Against Hidden Predators was in front of state Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan's house in East Northport. They say he's blocking a bill that would provide justice to sexual abuse victims.
The group is pushing for support of the Child Victims Act. The state bill would extend the current statute of limitations for cases from the current age of 23 to age 28 for criminal prosecution, and extend it to age 50 for civil claims.
The group is also demanding support from state Sen. Elaine Phillips and Sen. Carl Marcellino.
