Several Suffolk County beaches were closed Friday because of high bacteria levels.

Tanner Park Beach in Copiague, West Islip Beach, Sayville Marine Park Beach, Amityville Beach and Benjamin Beach in Bay Shore remain closed as of 7 p.m. Friday.

Gold Star Battalion Beach in Huntington and Ronkonkoma Beach in Islip were closed, and haven now reopened.
