Several pedestrians hit by car on William Floyd Parkway by Surrey Road

A baby and three other people were hit by a car after it barreled into a sidewalk full of people in the Mastic-Shirley area. 
Police say around 7 p.m. last night two cars were heading northbound on William Floyd Parkway when one tried to switch lanes. The cars collided.

 

According to police, one car careened onto the sidewalk and into the three adults and a baby.

 

The baby is OK, but police tell News 12 one of the people is in serious condition.

 

Investigators do not believe criminality was involved.
