Police are investigating the death of a 45‑year‑old man found Monday afternoon near his home at 27 Lion Head Rock Road in Springs.

A passing motorist discovered Ian Nathanson at approximately 12:56 p.m. on Tuesday, near the roadway.

East Hampton Town Police and the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and confirmed his death.

Authorities say the death does not appear suspicious, and no foul play is suspected.
