Seniors picked up their bats and came out swinging Wednesday at the 13th annual Bristal All-Star Game at Cantiague Park in Hicksville.
The New York Senior Softball Association celebrated the 40th anniversary of Bucky Dent's Fenway Park home run and the World Series win against the Dodgers in 1978.
The team is made up of seniors 68 years of age and older. They say the league helps keep them young.
"You get off the concrete and go onto the turf and everything goes out of your head," says Joe Ditaranto. "Any of the issues you deal with every day go away."
The league plays a total of 56 games through the course of the year.
