Neighbors in a south Yonkers community are on high alert. At least two people in the area say things have been stolen from inside their cars.
"It's very upsetting," says Yonkers resident Egbert Bangari.
Bangari and his neighbors say they are frustrated from what they captured on their Ring Doorbells around 2:30 a.m. Monday.
The footage shows two people checking car doors on their block, near the corner of McLean and Sherman avenues in Yonkers.
"They were just going in and out of cars. They went into one of the black cars and he came out quickly," Bangari explains.
Police say the two males gained entry into two cars and took stuff from inside. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicles, according to police.
One person said their car was unlocked, some of their valuables were taken.
"We pay taxes and we don't bother nobody, it's not fair," says Vladimir Lala, who lives in the area.
People in the neighborhood are upset but not entirely surprised.
"Over a year ago, they stole the muffler from my car," says resident, Tereza Trieshi.
There's no word if anyone has been arrested in the cases from Monday.
