Search efforts are underway for a missing woman after her car was found at a state park in Huntington.
A missing persons report was filed Friday for 22-year-old Stella Lee, of Great Neck. She was last seen leaving her home in her white Honda vehicle, which was found at Caumsett State Park.
Lee is described as an Asian woman who stands around 5 foot 3 inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Police say she is possibly suicidal.
The search at the park began after Caumsett staff informed park police Saturday morning that the Honda had been in the parking lot for more than 24 hours.
The park was closed to the public on Saturday and Sunday while authorities searched the area.
Nassau police issued a Silver Alert for Lee Sunday afternoon.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the search, including aviation and canine units with Suffolk County police, the Nassau Police Department, state police, state park police, DEC and forest ranger officers, the Huntington harbor master and various first aid units.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
