Theodore Roosevelt's Sagamore Hill home reopens this weekend.
Sagamore Hill National Historic Site has been closed for more than three years for a multimillion-dollar restoration.
The home's roof, foundation, lighting and wiring was all renovated.
"Some of the electrical wiring in the house was from 1918," says curator Susan Sarna.
About 3,500 visitors are expected at Roosevelt's summer White House in Oyster Bay when it reopens Sunday at 2 p.m.
On-site parking will only be allowed Sunday for disabled visitors. Shuttle buses to the home will run every half-hour from local schools and the Oyster Bay train station.
