The Sachem School District superintendent issued an apology Friday about the busing issues that plagued the start of school.
In an email to parents, he said the district and the bus company, WE Transport, have worked on routes and that things should be running normally come Monday.
"Our student transportation routes serviced by WE Transport have been rectified and every single student has been assigned the appropriate route," said Superintendent Christopher Pellettieri.
As News 12 has reported, multiple parents said buses did not show up.
Madison Williams says she has had to drive her son to and from kindergarten over the last three days. "We did not get a phone call back or anything," says Williams. "We still have not had contact from the bus company to us." The bus drivers are expected to practice their bus routes over the week to ensure they make it to their stops. News 12 reached out to WE Transport for comment but has not heard back.
