The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is getting a major facelift.

The 27-year-old building receives more than 1,000 families and sick children from all over the world each year. "Project Design 2013" will gut and renovate 18 of the 48 rooms at no cost to the foundation.

Steven Fanuka, of "Million Dollar Contractor," is one of 26 designers working on the project.

A celebration is planned for early next month, when the project will be complete.
