Woodson, 56, of Riverhead, is running for his fourth term as town highway department superintendent. He graduated from Riverhead High School and enlisted in the Army, serving four years as a police traffic accident investigator. Woodson held driver, heavy equipment operator and other positions in the highway department until he was elected in 2008 as supervisor. Woodson is married.
If re-elected, Woodson said he wants to work on updating the highway department building, continue work on town roads and “keep forward on making the highway department the best it can be.”
