Riverhead man sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexual assault of 10-year-old girl
Jose Carabantes Pineda pleaded guilty after an investigation found that he bound a child with duct tape and sexually assaulted her in the back of a minivan in March 2021.

Jose Carabantes Pineda pleaded guilty after an investigation found that he bound a 10-year-old girl with duct tape and sexually assaulted her in the back of a minivan in March 2021.
Further investigation revealed that he had been sexually abusing the girl for months leading up to the assault.
