Bronx residents are demanding stop signs along one street they say is a ?speedway.? Ampere Avenue residents say their concerns have gone unaddressed for so long they are worried something tragic will happen. One resident pointed to a destroyed wall outside a home on Ampere Avenue. He says this is just the latest piece of evidence of the speeding problem. Residents say there are no stop signs along the nine-block stretch of road, and just about every month there is an accident. Bronx Councilman James Vacca says the danger to the residents is real, and he is pledging to join residents in their push for stop signs along the strip.
