A group of residents is calling for changes to the way Long Island is policed.
Long Island United for Police Reform is demanding police reform, accountability and oversight in both Nassau and Suffolk counties.
The group was announced today at the court hearing of former Suffolk Sgt. Scott Greene. As News 12 reported, Greene is accused of targeting and stealing money from Latino drivers.
A total of 21 Latinos from Long Island are suing the Suffolk Police Department, claiming several officers targeted them for race-based traffic stops.
