Advocates, workers and faith leaders are demanding that Gov. Andrew Cuomo include New York's DREAM Act in the state's 2015 budget.
Demonstrators rallied outside of his Hicksville office on Old Country Road Thursday.
They say the governor has expressed support for the program, which would expand state-funded financial aid to include undocumented students.
Organizers say the measure would cost $17 million a year and impact more than 100,000 students.
