More calls came from parents Wednesday to lift mask mandates for school children in New York.
Rep. Lee Zeldin was among those at the Dennison Building alongside the group Unmask Our Kids, a parent group demanding that Gov. Andrew Cuomo allow children to go without masks at schools.
Currently, regulations say kids kindergarten through 12th grade must wear masks in school.
It comes as regulations for masking at camps were released, where guidelines for masking and social distancing differ for people who are vaccinated versus those who are not.
In most cases, social distancing and face covering requirements do not apply to those who are fully vaccinated at camps.
The state last week reversed its mask mandate for kids ages 2-5 in child care settings.
